Keeping your School Directory up-to-date is important for a smooth-running school community! School-approved School Leaders and teachers with admin permissions have the ability to remove teachers from the School Directory. Whether it’s for staff changes or simply tidying up the list, this process is straightforward and ensures your directory remains current. Follow these steps to learn how to remove teachers from the School Directory and keep your school’s information accurate and organized!
Please Note:
- When a teacher is removed from your School Directory on the website, they will be removed from any shared classes connected to your school.
- Only school-approved School Leaders and teachers with admin permissions can remove teachers from your School Directory
- If your school does not have a School Leader with a ClassDojo account, they can sign up here or submit a support request form here.

Here's how to Remove a Teacher from the School Directory from the web:

Click on the "School Directory" tab from the sidebar, and click on the "Teachers" tab
- From the Teachers tab, click the downward-pointing arrow to the right of the teacher who needs removed and select “Remove from school”
- Confirm that you would like to remove the teacher and transfer their classes to another verified teacher or yourself by clicking on "Choose Teacher"
- Click on the teacher's name or search for the verified Teacher's name and click "Okay"
- The previous teacher's class(es)will appear in your class menu (if you selected yourself) or if you selected another teacher, the class tile(s) will appear on their home page
From the App
Here's how to Remove a Teacher from the School Directory from the app:
- From your dashboard, tap on your school's name
- Select the "School Directory" button at the bottom of the screen
- Tap on the "Teachers" tab
- Tap on the teacher's name you wish to remove, click "Remove teacher" in the pop-up window 🎉
