Dojo Islands is a new virtual world that can deepen your impact through learning experiences kids love. In a safe place made just for them, your students can grow in their favorite way—through play. We're early in this journey and want to build this world with you!

How can my class use Dojo Islands?
Some classes play on Dojo Islands together during free time or when classwork is done as a way to keep learning and growing together. But ultimately, it’s up to you—Dojo Islands is new, so make it your own!
How does my class access Dojo Islands?
- Have students log into their ClassDojo accounts
- Have them locate the Dojo Islands icon and click the Play button
- Explore and enjoy! 🏝️
How can I turn Dojo Islands off for my class?
You can customize access to Dojo Islands from your teacher account. Here is how:
- Log into your account via the website
- Open your class and click on “Options” in the upper right corner
- Click on “Edit Class” and tap on the “Settings” tab
- Locate the "When can students play on your class island?" heading
- Choose "Always," "Only during class hours," or "Never"
How can I log into Dojo Islands with my students?
- Log into your account via the website
- Click on the Dojo Islands tile on the dashboard to log in as a teacher to Dojo Islands. If you have multiple classes, choose the class you wish to visit
How can I reset the Building Zone and Activity Zone?
- Log in to your Teacher Account
- Click on the Dojo Islands tile on the dashboard to launch Dojo Islands. If you have multiple classes, choose the class island you wish to visit
- In the upper right corner, click on the "Reset" button
- You can choose to "Clear the Build Zone" or "Reset the Activity Zone" back to its original state
How can I assign a different activity to the Activity Zone?
- Log in to your Teacher Account
- Choose a class, and click on "Dojo Islands"
- Scroll to the activity library and choose one for your class
- Click "Load Activity" to swap activities. Don't worry—your class' previous builds are saved! You can access them by loading the same activity again.
- A new Activity of the Month launches on the 1st. Your activities will stay active until then.
Can I turn off seasonal theming?
Yes, you can. To change back to the normal island:
- Log in to your Teacher Account via the website
- Open your class, and click on "Options" in the upper right corner
- Click "Edit Class" and then navigate to the "Settings" tab
- Locate the Dojo Islands heading and turn off the "Seasonal Theme" toggle
What is Home Islands? Can I turn it off for my class?
Dojo Islands for Home is a separate version of the game that students can access outside of school. It has different islands and features than what they explore in class.
While you can customize access to Class Islands, Home Islands settings are controlled by parents. Parents can choose when their children can play by selecting "Always," "After School Hours," or "Never" in their parent settings.
What is Global Playgrounds? Is it part of Class Islands?
The Global Playground is a new space in Dojo Islands at Home where kids can play with others who are online at the same time outside of school hours—even if they’re not in the same class. It’s designed for after-school fun and gives kids more ways to collaborate beyond their classroom.
It’s separate from Class Islands and isn’t available during school hours. When kids play Dojo Islands at school, they’ll continue to play only with their classmates—nothing about the in-school experience is changing.
Wherever kids play, safety stays at the center. In the Global Playground:
- There’s no free chat—just emojis and preset messages
- Names are only visible to classmates
- All content is ad-free and age-appropriate
