You can cast Toolkit to your computer screen to display for students from the iOS or Android app.
All that's needed is to log into your account from both the app and the computer and click the "Toolkit" on the bottom of your mobile device from the classroom page. You can then click "Start Dojocast" in the top right corner to have it displayed on your computer or Smartboard!
From the App
Noise Meter is a feature designed to help you measure and monitor the noise level in your classroom.
To Open Noise Meter:
- Open your class
- Open the toolkit by swiping left and selecting 'More' at the top of the class
- Tap on the Noise Meter button
You can now use the Noise Meter feature or you can log into your account via the website to cast to your computer screen.
Once you're logged in, you'll see a "Computer detected" notice above your noise meter, then tap on "START DOJOCAST." Tap "Stop" to discontinue the cast.
💡 Troubleshooting Tips
Having Trouble Syncing Noise Meter and Your Computer?
If you're having an issue getting your Noise Meter to appear on your computer, there are a couple of steps you can take:
- Ensure that your microphone permissions are set to "allow" on your browser - You should see a pop-up appear in the left corner asking for permission. Tap "Allow" to give access. If you don't see this, you'll need to turn on this permission. From Chrome, tap on the lock icon on the search bar. Find Microphone and use the drop-down to set the preference to "Allow."
- Be sure your app is up to date - Delete and reinstall the app to ensure you have the latest version available. Even if an update isn't available, this can help with syncing issues.
- Ensure you're using the latest version of Google Chrome - Chrome is the most powerful browser and the best fit for our program. If you're not using it, please try switching over to ensure optimal functionality and compatibility. You can check your browser version here.
