With School Updates, you can send a message instantly to all families and teachers at once! Like Class Updates, School Updates are delivered privately to each user's inbox. Replies are disabled on School Updates.
On the web
- Log into your account at teach.classdojo.com
- Look for the "Chats" section in the sidebar of your account
- Your school's Update thread will be indicated with a megaphone icon
- Open the thread to compose a new message
- Confirm that you would like to send your message
On the app
- Open your app and tap the name of your school
- Tap the Chats icon at the bottom of the screen to open your inbox
- Your School Update thread will be indicated with a megaphone icon

Who can send a School Update?
Only School Leaders and users with the Admin role can send School Updates.
How are families notified?
Families will receive a push notification or email notification when your School Update is sent. This alert will contain the text of your update.
Can I attach a file or an image?
Absolutely! Just like with other chats, you can attach files and up to 10 images or media files.
Can I delete an Update?
Mistakes happen! You can delete a message you have sent by hovering over the body of the text and then clicking the "X" that appears to the left.
How can I tell who has read my message?
To see who has viewed your message, click the "Sent" button below the text bubble. You can view which teachers and family members have viewed your message. The time they viewed your message will be listed below their name.
