School Settings for School Leaders and Admins

As a School Leader or Admin, you’ve got the power to fine-tune your school’s ClassDojo experience. With just a few clicks from the website or app, you can update settings to match your community’s unique needs. Let’s make ClassDojo work even better for your school!

Here’s how you can access School Settings on the website:

  1. Log into your account at classdojo.com
  2. Click your profile icon in the top-right corner
  3. Select “School Settings”


From here you can:

  • Update the start and end dates for your school year
  • Enable or disable Domain Auto-Approval for staff requests to join your school
    • Add and edit your school’s email domains for auto-approval
  • Enable or disable School Story commenting for staff and families
  • Enable or disable Class or Family Chat settings for classes in your school's Directory
  • Turn monster avatars on or off for all students in your school 
    • Turning monster avatars off will assign initial avatars to all students in your school’s Directory

Here’s how you can access School Settings on the apps:

  1. Log into your account on the ClassDojo app
  2. Tap "School settings" under your school's name

From here you can:

  • Enable or disable Class or Family Chat settings for classes in your school's Directory
  • Enable or disable Domain Auto-Approval for staff requests to join your school
    • Add and edit your school’s email domains for auto-approval
