Why Can’t I Make a Purchase from My Country?

At ClassDojo, we’re proud to support families and teachers around the world. However, if you’re trying to purchase a ClassDojo Plus subscription and receive an error, it may be due to U.S. sanctions that restrict transactions in certain countries and regions.

🌐 Why does this happen?

ClassDojo is based in the United States and is required to follow U.S. laws and regulations, including trade sanctions. These sanctions prohibit U.S. companies from offering paid services in specific countries or regions.

We are not allowed to process payments or enable subscriptions in these locations. This includes purchases made through the ClassDojo app or website.

📍 Which countries or regions are affected?

Sanctions may apply to entire countries or specific regions. Some commonly restricted areas include:

  • Cuba
  • Iran
  • North Korea
  • Syria
  • Parts of Ukraine (including Crimea, Donetsk, and Luhansk)
    • While the sanctions apply only to specific regions, due to the way our systems handle compliance, we have had to temporarily restrict access to other parts of Ukraine. This ensures we remain in full compliance while avoiding the risk of inadvertent violations.
