ClassDojo Plus is an optional, premium subscription that gives families more ways to support learning at home. It unlocks exclusive tools inside the app—like Homework Helper, Magic Books, Memories, and Progress Reports—that help kids thrive in school and beyond. The core ClassDojo product is always free, but over 1 million families have upgraded to Plus for even more ways to help their kids.

Depending on which ClassDojo Plus package you select, the following features are available: 

  • Homework Helper: Stuck on a tricky homework question? Just snap a photo for step-by-step guidance. Built to boost confidence, not give answers. (Coming soon)
  • Magic Books: Access over 1,0000 kid-perfect stories, anytime, anywhere. From fairytales to fun facts, every book is designed to keep kids engaged and reading more. (Coming soon)
  • Member Perks: Enjoy perks to help you learn, play, and recharge together, chosen based on what families asked for. (Details)
  • Unlimited Home Points and Rewards: Build great habits and reward good behavior with feedback points at home. (Teachers can’t see these—they’re just for you and your child.)
  • Enhanced Progress Reports: Get more insights into your child’s growth with detailed Progress Reports, including top skills and points streaks for the whole year.
  • Memories: Save your favorite photos and videos from the classroom forever in easy-to-access Memories albums.
  • Enhanced Messaging: Schedule messages to your child’s teacher, mark them urgent if needed, and get read receipts so you know they’ve been seen.
  • Calendar Sync: Automatically add school events to your Google or Apple calendar, so you never miss a moment.         

💾 Will teachers or families ever need to pay to use ClassDojo?

All the core features—like Messaging, Portfolios, Class Story, and School Story—will always be free for teachers, families, and students. ClassDojo Plus is totally optional and unlocks extra features for families.

You can choose from monthly or annual subscription plans. Prices vary—check the app for the latest pricing when you sign up.

đŸ· Will I be charged sales tax on my subscription?

Whether you are charged sales tax depends on a variety of factors, including where you live: many U.S. states treat online software products (such as ClassDojo Plus) as a taxable service while others do not. We use your billing or shipping address to decide if tax applies, and we calculate the tax amount accordingly using a trusted tax service. If new tax laws or thresholds change, you may see tax added to the price charged—even if you didn’t before.

Yes! First, you will need to connect to your child's school as a parent. Then, if your other children do not have a student account through a school, you can add them at home and use all ClassDojo Plus features with them as well. 

🗑 What happens to the home points and reports if I delete my parent account?

If you delete your parent account, any Home Points or custom reports you created will also be permanently deleted.

🔁 Can I cancel my subscription at any time?

Yep! You can cancel your subscription at any time by following these steps.

🔒 What data is shared between in-school use and ClassDojo Plus home use? 

In addition to the limited data that is shared between an Outside School Child Account and Student Account as set forth here, the following data is shared (with parent consent) between ClassDojo Plus and in-school use of ClassDojo :

  • Memories (like photos and videos shared in class)

  • Enhanced Progress Reports

✅  What consent is required?

When you use certain Plus features for the first time, we’ll ask for your permission to use your child’s educational records to provide you with the Plus features (See here for more information). You’ll only need to do this once—no repeated approvals needed.
