How do I turn on calendar syncing?
You can turn on syncing when you log into ClassDojo on the website. (This feature isn’t available on the mobile apps yet). Here's how to turn on Calendar syncing:
Log into your account from the ClassDojo website
Open the school calendar
Look for the toggle above your events that reads "Sync to Calendar"
Toggle this setting on
Select either your Google or Apple calendar
Follow prompts to log into the correct account
Confirm that you would like to subscribe to ClassDojo events
You're all set! All upcoming events will be added to your calendar and any updates made on the ClassDojo platform will be reflected.
If you would like to turn this off, you can follow the steps above to prevent new events from being added to your calendar. Please note, this will not remove events that have already been added to your calendar.

- What exactly syncs?
- Only upcoming events will be added. Past events won’t appear on your calendar.
- Events created before syncing will still be added as long as they’re happening in the future.
- Updates made in ClassDojo will show up in your calendar.
- What doesn’t sync?
- Events won’t sync back from Google or Apple into ClassDojo.
- Changes made in your calendar (like renaming or moving events) won’t change them in ClassDojo.
- Past events won’t be backfilled.
- What if I turn syncing off later?
- All events that were already added will stay in your Google or Apple calendar. They won’t disappear when you turn syncing off.
- I turned it on, but I don’t see any events. What should I do?
- Make sure you’re connected to the right calendar. Sometimes events land in a secondary or hidden calendar in Google or Apple.
- Remember that only upcoming events will appear.
