As you can read about in our Terms of Service and Community Guidelines, we are committed to keeping ClassDojo a safe and welcoming platform for all users. This means we have a zero-tolerance policy when it comes to illegal or harmful content such as Child Sexual Abuse Material (CSAM) or Non-Consensual Intimate Imagery (NCII).
Child Safety
To help protect our users, ClassDojo employs industry-leading automated detection tools across our products. ClassDojo uses these tools to help prevent and respond to CSAM, and we cooperate fully with investigations. We comply with all applicable laws, including 18 U.S.C. § 2258A, and our trained personnel report any suspected CSAM, grooming, or child exploitation to the National Center for Missing and Exploited Children (NCMEC) and relevant law enforcement authorities.
Non-Consensual Intimate Imagery
Below describes how to report intimate images or videos shared without your consent — and what we are required to do when we receive a valid report. We take the non-consensual sharing of intimate imagery seriously and are committed to removing it quickly. We prohibit the sharing or threatening to share non-consensual intimate images or videos of any person. This includes real (authentic) images, as well as images created or altered using artificial intelligence or other technology (sometimes called deepfakes or digital forgeries). In the United States, the person depicted in the content — or someone authorized to act on their behalf — can submit a removal request under the TAKE IT DOWN Act. In the European Union, any individual or entity may submit a notice of illegal content under the Digital Services Act. You can report non-consensual intimate content using our reporting form here.
To submit a valid removal request, you will need to provide: your name and contact information; an electronic signature; the exact location where the content appears in ClassDojo; a statement explaining why the content was shared without consent; and, if you are an authorized representative, documentation of your authority. We will confirm receipt of your report. We will review the content as quickly as possible. If the report is valid and the content violates our policies or applicable law, we will remove it — in the United States, no later than 48 hours after receiving a valid request, as required by the TAKE IT DOWN Act (47 U.S.C. § 223a). We will also make reasonable efforts to find and remove known identical copies of the content. We will notify you of the outcome of your report.
If we remove or restrict content based on your report, the person who posted it will receive an explanation of our decision, including the reason for the action, the legal or policy basis, and their options for review. This is required under the EU Digital Services Act (Regulation (EU) 2022/2065, Article 17). If you are affected by a content removal decision on our EU-facing services, you may use our internal complaint system within six months of the decision. Your complaint will be reviewed by a person, not solely by automated systems. You may also use a certified out-of-court dispute settlement body or seek judicial review.
You can take additional steps to help prevent your intimate images from being shared across the internet. For adults 18 and older: visit StopNCII.org to create a digital fingerprint (hash) of your images. Participating platforms will use this fingerprint to detect and remove matching content. For people under 18: visit TakeItDown.NCMEC.org for a similar tool designed for minors. If you are experiencing distress related to the non-consensual sharing of your intimate images, the following organizations can help: Cyber Civil Rights Initiative National Helpline (844-878-2274); National Domestic Violence Hotline (800-799-7233); RAINN National Sexual Assault Hotline (800-656-4673). This process is governed by the TAKE IT DOWN Act (47 U.S.C. § 223a), which requires covered platforms in the United States to remove non-consensual intimate visual depictions within 48 hours of receiving a valid request, and by the EU Digital Services Act (Regulation (EU) 2022/2065), which requires hosting services and online platforms in the European Union to maintain notice-and-action mechanisms, provide statements of reasons, and offer complaint rights.
Reporting
Even with proactive measures, our hope is that every user is doing their part to help keep ClassDojo safe. For guidance on reporting any content that is illegal or potentially harmful to our team, please see this article.
Additionally, under the EU’s Digital Services Act (DSA), we are required to publish an annual transparency report related to notices of illegal content and our content moderation practices. You can view our 2026 report below. If you are a regulatory authority looking for contact information, please see the Online Safety section of our Terms of Service.
