ClassDojo is a place where kids, families, and teachers share ideas, stories, and fun. To help everyone feel safe and respected, we have a few simple rules.
Rule 1: Be kind and respectful to everyone
- Don’t say mean things or make fun of someone, even if you think it’s just a joke.
- Don’t post anything that would hurt someone’s feelings or make them feel left out.
- Never use hateful words or share pictures that are unkind to others based on how they look.
- Don’t pretend to be someone else, and don’t share someone else’s real-life info, like their real name or address.
- Never post anything that shows, talks about, or says you should participate in violence, fighting, or hurting yourself or others.
- Only share things that belong to you or things you have permission to post.
- Don’t ruin anything someone else may have made, such as a Portfolio post or something built in Dojo Islands, without permission from the person who made it
Rule 2: Stay safe and practice online safety
- Don’t share your full name, home address, passwords, phone number, or anything else that could tell a stranger who you are or where you live in real life. Never ask someone else for their real-life info.
- If someone asks you for something or tells you something that makes you uncomfortable, tell a trusted adult right away.
- Don’t ever post anything that might gross someone out or make them feel uncomfortable.
- Don’t try to log into someone else’s account or trick someone into giving you their login.
Rule 3: Help make Dojo a good place for everyone
- Don’t post the same thing over and over.
- Don’t post ads or links to things that have nothing to do with school or ClassDojo.
- Don’t let anyone else play on your account.
- Don’t say you work for ClassDojo.
- Don’t use ClassDojo to sell or trade things in real life.
- Never use ClassDojo to do anything that breaks the law or school rules. When in doubt, ask a trusted adult!
If you see someone else breaking the rules, don’t ever try to solve the problem on your own. You should let your teacher, parent, or another trusted adult know so that they can let us know. When everyone follows the rules, ClassDojo will be a fun and safe place for everyone.
