Teacher to Student Messaging FAQ For Teachers and School Leaders

We’re piloting a new messaging feature that lets high school teachers and students message directly in ClassDojo—one-on-one or in groups. It’s built for grades 9–12, and designed to help teachers keep students engaged, informed, and supported.

Getting Started

Q. Who can use Teacher-to-Student Messaging?
A. This feature is available to select pilot districts. Interested in joining the pilot? Reach out to your ClassDojo Partner or fill out a request here.

Q. Who controls access to this feature?
A. District leaders can enable or disable Teacher-to-Student Messaging for their district. Once enabled, school leaders can manage access at the school level, and teachers can manage access at the class level.

Q. How do I turn this feature on or off?

A. If you're part of a participating school in the Teacher-to-Student Messaging pilot:
