Student Linking Overview

What is Student Linking?

Student Linking is the process of matching students in the ClassDojo Directory 1:1 with students in your Student Information System (SIS).

Who can link students?

Administrators can link students.

Administrators in the school include District Leaders added to the school, verified School Leaders, and designated Admins with access to the Directory. If you do not have access to the tool and believe you should, please contact a current ClassDojo Admin at your school or ClassDojo Support. You can reach Support by using the link at the bottom of this page.

Why link students?

Linking students ensures that families don't need to reconnect during back-to-school. Linked students will be kept when rostering is turned on, and their existing family connections and account history will be retained.

What happens to students who are not linked?

Students who aren't linked will be graduated from the ClassDojo School Directory when roster syncing turns on, and they will disappear from your active roster.
