We know how important it is to keep in touch with your child's classroom and how frustrating it can be to miss a Story Post or Message from their teacher because of notification problems. We're here to help. Learn about notifications for your parent account when using the web, iOS, or Android device below.
Please note: By downloading the app, you'll receive push notifications instead of email notifications. At this time, it’s not possible to receive both.
You’ll get notifications for the following events:
- When you receive a private message from your child’s teacher
- When there is a new Class Story or School Story post
- When your child’s teacher has approved a new Portfolio post
- When a teacher has scheduled reminders for Class or School Events
From the Web
If you are a parent using only the ClassDojo website and not the app, you will receive email notifications. We currently do not have a feature that allows for desktop notifications.
iOS
When you download the ClassDojo app, you will have the option to enable push notifications for the app. As long as you remain logged into your ClassDojo account and have enabled push notifications, you will receive notifications on your device.
You can enable or disable notifications in your device settings (please note this is not in the ClassDojo app but rather in your device’s app settings).
If you are not receiving push notifications on your device, we would suggest making sure that you are logged into your account on the app, running the latest version of our app, and that your notifications for ClassDojo are fully enabled.
Android
When you download the ClassDojo app, you will have the option to enable push notifications for the app. As long as you remain logged into your ClassDojo account and have enabled push notifications, you will receive notifications on your device.
