Troubleshooting Tips for Teachers and School Leaders

If something’s not working quite right, we’re here to help you get back on track fast! Here are a few simple steps to try that often fix the most common tech hiccups.

🔄 Try a Different Connection

Sometimes your internet connection may be the culprit. Try switching between:

  • Wi-Fi and mobile data (if you’re on a phone)
  • Home and school networks (if you’re on a computer)

If you’re able to access things normally outside of your school’s network: you can try sharing this guide with your school’s IT department. This will be about a five-minute job for them and will ensure continued access to all of ClassDojo’s features!

💻 Try a Different Device

Not sure if it’s your device or the app? Log into your account on another device—like a different phone, tablet, or computer—to see if the issue continues.

📱 Using the App?

1. Try uninstalling and reinstalling the app from the App Store (iOS) or Google Play Store (Android). This refreshes your app and usually clears up any glitches.

Here’s how to do this on iOS (Apple):

  • Navigate to the home screen of your device and locate the ClassDojo app icon
  • Hold down on the ClassDojo app icon
  • Click "Remove", and then "Delete app"
  • Search for ClassDojo within the iOS App Store and reinstall it

Here’s how to do this on Android:

  • Navigate to the home screen of your device and locate the ClassDojo app icon
  • Hold down on the ClassDojo app icon
  • Click "Remove"
  • Search for ClassDojo within the Google Play Store and reinstall it

2. Make sure your device is running the most recent version of its operating system. You can find this information in your phone’s settings app.

3. If you’re still having trouble after reinstalling the app, try restarting your device. This can help clear background data that could be slowing things down.

🌐 Using the Website?

Make sure you're:

  • Using Google Chrome, the browser that works best with ClassDojo
  • Running the latest version of Chrome. You can check this here

Still not working?

Try clearing your cache and cookies in Chrome or resetting your bookmark:

  • On Chrome, click the three dots in the top right > More Tools > Clear browsing data > Check “Cookies” and “Cached images” > Clear data
  • If you’re accessing ClassDojo from a bookmark, try deleting the bookmark and going directly to teach.classdojo.com to log in
