This allows you to compose messages in advance and set a specific time for them to be sent, ensuring your updates reach parents at the most appropriate moments. Whether you're planning reminders or important announcements, scheduling messages helps you manage your communication efficiently. Follow these steps to learn how to schedule a message on ClassDojo!
From the Web
Here's how to schedule a message from the web:
- Open your class
- Click on the "Chats" tab, then click the purple pencil icon to create a new message
- Select the family or families you would like to send a chat (this is where you can create a private, group, or mass message)
- Click on the downward-pointing arrow next to the "Send" button
- Choose the day and time to schedule your message
- Set your scheduled time and click on the Schedule Message button
Please Note: You'll now see a grey note above your compose box in the individual thread with the parent, which has your scheduled message in it. Click on the “Show scheduled message” text to view message information or remove the scheduled message. At this time, there is not a way to edit a scheduled message. You will need to go into each individual message thread in order to remove any scheduled messages and schedule another message by following the steps above.
From the App
Here's how to schedule a message from the app:
- Open your class
- Tap the “Chats” button in the bottom right corner of the screen
- Tap the icon to create a message or open the thread with the user you would like to schedule a chat with
- Tap on the clock icon below the text box
- Set the date and time you'd like the message to be sent and tap "Schedule message"
- Write your message, then tap the airplane icon when you're ready to queue your scheduled message
Please Note: You'll now see a note above the text box that says "Show scheduled message" in individual chat threads. Tap on this message to view or delete the scheduled message.
