This allows you to award points to groups of students, recognizing their collective achievements and fostering a spirit of cooperation. Whether it’s for a group project, team activity, or any collaborative success, awarding points to groups helps motivate and engage students. Follow these simple steps to learn how to award points to groups on ClassDojo and celebrate teamwork in your classroom!
Please note: At this time, there are no Groups reports page. All points awarded in Groups are displayed in participating students' reports.
From the Web
To Create a Group:
- Open your class.
- Click on the "Groups" tab located above your student tiles.
- Click "Add group."
- Enter your group name
- Click on each student you'd like included in the group
- Click "Create group."
To Award Points:
- Open your class.
- Click on the "Groups" tab located above your student tiles.
- Click on a group, then click "Award group."
- Select the skill you'd like to award.
From the App
To Create a Group:
- Open your class.
- Tap the "+ Group" button.
- Enter a group name.
- Tap the "Tap to add students" dropdown list and select the students you'd like in the group.
- Tap “Done.”
- Tap "Create group."
To Award Groups:

Tap a group and select "Award group"

Select the skill you'd like to award.
You can also award an individual student a point from this menu by tapping on the group the student is in and selecting the student's tile instead of "Award group"
