Sent a chat to the wrong person? Accidentally included a typo? We've been there! You can remove a message from view in ClassDojo Messaging with a few taps or clicks.
From the web:
Here is how to remove a message using the website:
- Open the "Chats" section of your account
- Locate the message you would like to remove
- Hover your mouse over the message until a gray "X" appears to the left of the message
- Click the X
- Confirm that you would like to delete the message from the following pop-up
From the app:
Here is how to remove a message using the app:
- Open your Chats on the app
- Locate the message you would like to remove
- Tap and hold the message until a window pops up to Copy or Delete your message
- Select "Delete"
- Confirm that you would like to delete the message from the following pop-up
Please note: When you delete a message on ClassDojo, the message will be included with a [Deleted] tag in your message history download as a parent. Teachers will see a [Deleted] tag in their message history download, but will not be able to view the message content.
In order to remain FERPA compliant, verified School Leaders can still request deleted messages sent to a teacher.
