How To Award Points to Students

Are you looking for a way to award points to students who are not in your class? We've got a solution that makes awarding points easier than ever! 🎉 There are two types of points that can be awarded to students: School Points and Class Points. 

School Points

Using the school point dashboard, teachers, school leaders, and school staff can award out-of-class points (School points) to any student in the school. Points awarded in the dashboard are added to a student's school point balance.

From the Web

  1. Log in to your account at www.classdojo.com
  2. Select "Points" on the Left Navigation Bar
  3. Select "Give Points"
  4. Select a student and click on a skill.

iOS

  1. Log in to your account on the app
  2. Tap the "School" button at the bottom of the screen

From here, you have two options:

  • Tap the purple "+" button and select "School points"
  • Search for a student or locate their name from the grade level headings
  • Tap the student's name and award from the list of Schoolwide skills

    OR
  • Tap the "Points" button at the top of the screen
  • Tap the purple "+ Point" button at the top of the screen
  • Search for a student or locate their name from the grade level headings
  • Tap the student's name and award from the list of Schoolwide skills

Android

  1. Log in to your account on the app
  2. Tap on the school
  3. Tap the "+" button at the bottom center of the screen
  4. Tap "Point"
  5. Locate a Student and tap their name
  6. Click on a skill

Class Points

Teachers, school leaders, and school staff can award points to students within their classes. Any point awarded within a class will be added to a student's in-class point total AND to their school point balance.

  1. Log in to your account at www.classdojo.com
  2. Open the class
  3. Click on a student’s name
  4. Click on a skill.

From the App

  1. Log in to your account on the app
  2. Open a class 
  3. Select a student and click on a skill.
