Q. Why does my account not have access to school points?
A. A School Leader or Admin will need to set up your school skills for this feature to be ready for use.
Q. Who can award school points?
A. Any verified School Leader, Teacher, or Staff member can award points in the school point dashboard.
Q. Who can create, edit, and delete school skills?
A. Verified School Leaders and Admins can create, edit, or delete school skills.
Q. What devices can be used for school points?
A. School points can be awarded on the ClassDojo website and the app.
Q. What happens if I give a point for a school skill in my class?
A. If you give a point to a student in your class, whether it's for a school skill or class skill, it will be added to that student's point bubble in your class.
Q. Can I see my student's outside-of-class points?
A. Yes! When you click on any student profile in your class, you can view the student's school point total. You can also update your class display to show each student's school balance on your class dashboard.
Q. Why is the student’s point total in their class different from their point total in the school point dashboard?
A. All class points and school points will be included in the school point dashboard. However, points awarded in the school points dashboard will not be included in the student’s point total in their class or in their class report. This would explain a difference in the point totals.
Q. Does a student have to be in an active class to receive school points?
A. No, as long as the student is listed in the Directory and has not been graduated, they can receive school points.
Q. Can school points be redeemed?
A. Yes, School Leaders and Admins can redeem school points.
Q. Can I add a note to a school point?
A. Not at this time.
Q. Are school points included in the student’s class report?
A. Not at this time.
Q. Is there a way for teachers to download school point data?
A. Not at this time.
Q. Can Teachers remove school skills from their classes?
A. No, not at this time. All school skills will also be added to each class within the school.
Q. Can parents view school point data on their end?
A. Not at this time.
Q. Can students view school point data on their end?
A. Yes! Students can view their school point total when accessing their account on the web. (This feature is not yet available on the ClassDojo app.)
Q. Can house points be awarded in the Schoolwide points dashboard?
A. We don't yet have a way to aggregate house points. All points are aggregated by class.
