Post to School Story: Adding Images, Video and Text

Sharing exciting updates and important information with the entire school community is easy with ClassDojo’s School Story feature! Any school-approved teacher can post to the School Story, adding images, videos, and text to keep everyone informed and engaged. Whether it’s a school event, a student achievement, or a helpful reminder, School Story helps build a connected and vibrant school community. Follow these steps to learn how to post to School Story and share your updates with all connected parents and students!

From the Web

Here's how to post to the School Story from the web:

  1. Log into your account
  2. Click on "School Story" located on the sidebar
  3. Tap on "Add Image" to add a photo, "Add File" to upload an attachment (we currently support the following file attachments: PDF, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Text, and CSV) in addition to adding a caption to your post.
    Please note: If you are having trouble uploading a file or media, please make sure you are using the correct upload function. Clicking the paperclip icon will allow you to upload a file attachment. Clicking the image icon will allow you to upload up to 20 image files.
  4. Select “Post” and then confirm your post by selecting “Share it now” in the pop-up window

From the App

Here's how to post to the School Story from the app:

  1. Log into your account on the app
  2. On your account’s dashboard select the name of your school under “School”
  3. Tap the box that reads “What’s happening?”
  4. This will bring up your Story Composer window. Tap the camera to take a photo or tap the gallery icon to access your pictures. You can add up to 20 pictures to a Story post at a time.
    Please note: Files cannot be uploaded via the app at this time.
  5. Select “Post” and then confirm your post by selecting “Share it now” in the pop-up window
