Families can easily download their message history with any teacher they have ever exchanged chats with using the ClassDojo website.
Please note: This ability to download your Message History is only available on the website. (If you are on a mobile device, please use this special link to the mobile website.)
Here's how to download your Message History from the web:
- Log into your parent account on the ClassDojo website
- Click on your profile icon in the upper right corner of the screen and select "Account Settings"
- Scroll down, and under the "Chats" heading, click "Download" next to "Message history"
- You will have the option to download your messages only or to download your messages and attachments
- You will see a banner that reads, "Request received. We'll email you when your messages are ready to download."
- An email will be sent to the email address associated with your account that contains a zip file with your chat history.
Please note:
- The email is not sent instantly. It can take several minutes to prepare and be sent to you.

This download is currently separated into folders for schools and classes. In the class folder, you should be able to find a transcript of every active chat in the class.

Chats in inactive threads (i.e. when a user has been blocked, removed from the class, or has deleted their account) will be contained in a separate folder called "Inactive chats."
